The Cyanide and Happiness guys just posted another one of their animated shorts. Although it isn’t as funny as some of their others, it comes across as a quasi-Haneke deconstruction. The camera remains static whilst the audio of someone’s suffering is heard off screen. The only person we can see is indifferent to said suffering. It works on themes of guilt and prejudice. The shot length is extended beyond its own spectacle.
Oh, and a dog dies in a car.
